St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Ann Arbor
Adult Faith Formation ~ Tools for your Spiritual Journey
Prayer is
the means by which we
most come to know God.
There are as many ways
to pray as there are
people, because our
prayer represents our
own unique response to
God. Yet there is much
we can learn from the
spiritual greats
relative to some tried
and true ways to
experience God in
prayer. This two-part
workshop will cover a
few methods of prayer in
considerable depth. We
will explore:
-
Centering Prayer, a
method of praying
without words
-
Imaginative Prayer
where we put
ourselves into
various Scripture
scenes
-
Journaling Prayer
where we learn to
communicate with God
in written word
-
Movement Prayer
where we use simple
movements to express
our prayers
Come to
one or both sessions to
give yourselves some new
tools for your spiritual
journey.
