Of Holy Days and Holidays ~ A Spirituality for
Singles
Join us for an afternoon of discussion, prayer,
reflection, and fellowship. We will spend time
finding new ways to draw closer to God in
thanksgiving and prayer through the holiday season
as singles who may be struggling with family issues,
divorce, or the commercialization of this very holy
time of year.
Come and experience a variety of prayer forms using
movement, art, Scripture and meditation. Janene will
lead 5 sessions on Praying through Movement.

Abundant Life Flowing from Prayer
Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary
and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
To live the abundant life God calls us to we
must rest in Him, allowing God full access to
all parts of ourselves. Through Scripture,
movement, music and guided mediation we will
experience the renewal that comes from openness
and listening to God. Basic movements will be
taught which can be done by anyone, regardless
of experience or physical limitation.

and Spirit!
There are many ways to pray and not all of them
involve silence! Turn up the volume and jump
start your prayer with moves to Christian rock,
rap and hip hop music. Throw in some Scripture,
guided mediation and journaling and we’ll have a
complete prayer experience. God does rock!

limitation.
All 7th and 8th grade
girls are invited to attend. Lunch will be
provided.

Middle School EDGE Retreat
St. Andrew’s EDGE
group will focus on the theme of
using hands and feet to serve God
during their overnight retreat at
Camp FaHoLo. On Sunday morning some
75 EDGIES and leaders will activate
their prayer using movement,
Christian rock music and Scripture.
Through this time of getting closer
to God they will learn how they are
called to be His Hands and Feet.

preparation for their
upcoming Confirmation,
youth will gather at
Camp Talahi for the
weekend to explore how
to prepare and take care
of themselves to serve
God and how they need
God for the journey.
Through movement,
Christian rock, rap and
hip hop music,
Scripture, reflection,
journaling and
discussion, participants
will explore how much
they need God, how their
choices effect their
journey, and how God is
calling them now. They
will learn about Celtic
Christianity and High
Crosses and experience
God’s Presence all
around them, within them
and in one another.

Homeless
People in
the U.S. ~
St.
Michael’s
Youth Group
will live
out the
Gospel of
ministering
to the poor
as they
learn about
the homeless
in the U.S.
during this
overnight
retreat.
They will
fast in
solidarity
with the
poor, sleep
in cardboard
boxes at
night and
huddle by
the fire for
warmth.
They will
make
blankets for
the local
homeless
shelter to
give to the
poor in the
community.
While
experiencing
the hunger
in the
bodies, they
will
activate
their prayer
using
movement,
Christian
rock, rap
and hip hop
music and
Scripture
with Prayer
in Motion,
LLC.
